This was just going to be an update on the last post, but then i figured I'd post some more shit too.
First of, the UPDATE (Here's the 320kbps rip gotta love p2p):
The Presets - My People
(zshare) (you send it)
A myspace rip of the always great Damage (previously /on-special-occasions? Damage On The Backseat) edit:
The Presets - My People (Damage Edit)
I'd call it more of an extended mix rather than an edit, as its a good, and I mean GOOD, two minutes longer.
Some proof of the awesomeness that is Damage, (who although now resides in Vancouver, came from good old Ulladulla -> The ultimate Year-10 (age 16) down-the-coast-piss-up-weekend-getaway-town. Memories...), anyways... proof:
Damage On The Backseat - Strictly Wizard
And for old (old) times sake, keeping with the 'my people theme', a delicious remix by the boys that are Basement Jaxx, of the woman that is Missy Elliott, I bring to you '4 My People':
Missy Elliott - 4 My People (Basement Jaxx Remix)
This the first piece of Basement Jaxx I've posted, I haven't really heard much from them lately, since their 2006 Crazy Itch Radio (probably my least favourite record of their's, yet it's still immensely good). They are pretty awesome live, I've seen them twice, and there is just something about their style. Looking forward to some new shit of theirs soon, hopefully.

Presets: Rougher Than Something Rough
So I was going to post this new Presets track when I first found it but decided to wait till I found a version better then the one I ripped from their mySpace. So I waited, about this morning, when I woke up in an alcohol induced haze, I found it:The Presets - My People (See newer post for higher quality, or get this one still if you've got limited bandwidth/hearing)
Thanks to the folks at Sky Report and their 128kpbs.
This track is a new direction for the Presets, and I like it. Its a lot rougher and dirtier than the stuff on their last album. The synths are so heavy, an although it might not have all the hand clapiness of their their other stuff, it is still so fucking catchy and the drums just "Feel So Good!", "Scream If Your With Me" (Bitches!)
Compare & Contrast: A Photographic Essay on The Presets
LEFT: Big Day Out 2006 - The first photo of the day (as they played at like midday!)
RIGHT: Big Day Out 2007 - One of the last photos of the day (as they played just before headliners of the boilerroom Crystal (Fucking Awesome) Method!)
Comparing Pictures - Just as awesome!
Contrasting Times - First of all, WTF were they doing on at midday!?, and secondly this shows how much they took off in one year!

UPDATE: Kylie's NOT having a Bloc Party
I hate being out of the loop, but inevitably it happens. You've all got Bloc Party's (dot com) new single Flux, I'm just assuming that (if you haven't too late, it's officially disappeared from the internet... joking, but seriously you don't have it yet?). But that's not the point, either is the contrast in the two pictures below....
The point is, the reason Flux is so... different is that they wrote it for Kylie Minogue (she knocked it back)! It all makes sense now (and apparently it's been common knowledge for a while, hence me and my feeling out of loopiness, I had to find out here, which, out of all of my sources, is one of the slowest). At first I thought the song was an interest new direction for Bloc Party, but in light of this news, (might I say hopefully) it might not be a new direction, just them not wasting a perfectly good track just because it isn't their usual style. Anyway enough jabber. Here the biz:
Flux (Live)

School's Out For Summer!
(download vid)
So finally uni is over. Which means posts should be coming more frequently now... although no tonight baby 'cause it's time to party! These tracks get me ready for a night on the piss. The first is 3 Oh! (Ho Ho) 3's (dot com) banger that ironically makes me wanna party:
3Oh!3 - I'm Not Coming To Your Party Girl (Radio Edit)
Check out their video (download) for Holler Till You Pass Out, which starts out with acting bad enough to mistake it for an amateur porn flick, and then brings on some music good (and topical) enough to be it's soundtrack.
Second up is an oldie but goodie from Kiss(y Sell Out)
Kissy Sell Out - Get Ready For The K Hole
Enjoy the tunes, add ME on last.fm if you use it register then add me if you don't. Check out my recent listens (over there ------------------->) to check how what other tunes (besides those posted) that rock my socks. Another new feature is a new search bar below the one for my site. If you didn't get it by the comment aboce the box... It searches for the term you entered at all the sites on my blogroll, like my/our own personal hype machine!, excepted tailored a bit more to my tastes, as opposed to adding every man and his emo blog.
Drinking time!

Wombats & The Angst Of A Teenage Band!
If you didn't pick it up that's a like to their myspace, which might have a url that makes it look like they suk (http://www.myspace.com/thewombatsuk), this isn't correct tho, as I gladly found out after listening to their debut album all night whilst studyin. The url is actually trying to portray that they are indeed from the UK and not the Chicago band of the same name from the 90's...so watch out if your looking them up for yourself on amazon or wherever.
You can find out where to buy their latest effort on their myspace or check out their actual .co.uk!
Here are goodies, 2 remixes and a alternate version of some of their latest tracks, with the first remix (and the original, so buy it) a must have:
The Wombats - Lets Dance To Joy Division (James Ericksen Remix)
The Wombats - Kill The Director (CSS Remix)
The Wombats - Moving To New York (Alternate Version)
Thanks to the following blogs for providing them to me (and now you...):
!tashed, punkphoto & ipop, and resonator mag.
And to leave you... here's a pretty good live vid of them gettting into it.
