On an important note
I know I haven't been doing much for quite a while now but more is in sight...
Uni is over in one week
Exams are over in four weeks
The Teenagers & The Presets are during or soon after that
Then I'm turning 21 and going skiing in July
Giddy up.
On a serious note, everyone who hasn't already (it's two years old...) should educate themselves by watching this video (the 'funny to length ratio' runs out just after the kid mentions chillin' alot):

So Fucking Pimp: Did I Mention that I Spit the Dopest Rhymes?
After seeing Mr Hype himself post this the other day I had no choice but to post this. Monzy is a West Coast Nerdcore Rapper, or to get all genre specific, he is a Computer Science Gangster Rapper. He is also single handedly responsible for "Hooray, Brussels Sprouts!" giving a result when searched in google, not to mention his toilet machine (which I will mention later). So being the core of nerd that his is, he doesn't have a myspace, but a blog, that he started in 1998! Did someone say old school???
Check out this latest video he did for his track "So Fucking Pimp" and you'll see what I mean.
Now pick up the battle rap "So Much Drama in the PhD" that Monzy wrote almost 3 years to the day ago. His hilariously good attempt at starting a West to East coast beef by dissin' MC Plus+, creates an atmosphere; "This young fellow certainly knows how to induce me into raising my hands upward in a motion that makes me think 'I just don't care.'" And has other commenter's out of his 20 thou of listener's on his last.fm page sprayin all sort of code/linux jargon. "Kill -9 forever"! Haha.
Pick it up:
Monzy - So Much Drama In The PhD [YSI] [MF]
Several random hilarious quotations:
And bitches dereference my pointer for free.
What's wrong MC Plus Plus, am I making you nervous?
Even skanky fat hoes give you denial of service.
You'll probably go to jail before you write your dissertation
So prepare your asshole for some internal fragmentation;
My flow is so intense that I will overflow your buffer,
Corrupt your stack pointer makin' all your data suffer.
While you're busy poppin' stacks I'll pop a cap in your skull,
While you smoke your crack pipe I'm gonna pipe you to /dev/null.
I may not have a label but I rap like a star;
I'm an unsigned long int and you're an 8-bit char.
Your mom circulates like a public key,
Servicing more requests than HTTP.
She keeps all her ports open like Windows ME,
Oh, there's so much drama in the PhD.
By the time you've rhymed one line, I've already busted ten;
You rap in exponential time and I'm big-O of log(n).
I run gmake and gcc,
And I ain't never called malloc without calling free.
I'll beat your ass until it's colored like a red-black tree
'Cause there's so much drama in the PhD.
Oh and i forgot to mention this Computer Human Interface video/paper he wrote in 2003. The CHI system he and his fellow researcher developed was called the 'You're In Control' (Yes! It is a play on words) Here's an exerpt from the paper:
While urinating outdoors is playful for many people, bathroom sanitation requires a serious focus and conformity. You're In Control encourages cleanliness while reintroducing play to the act of micturition. It is (HGHLY RCMMNDD) you click the link:

Radiohead, Nude Hipsters?
If you haven't heard Radiohead are having a remix comp, you can buy & download the individuals tracks that make up their song 'Nude'. It's really amazed me lately just how much coverage one of the remixes has been getting. Reminded me how cool and close the blogging community is. If you haven't guess yet it's the remix by Carlos from Hipster Runoff. It's fucking gorgeous. It's a really great and original concept, which is shown by the amount of votes it has received out of the 1038 remixes total there are atm. And did I mention it's fucking hilarious!

Horny Teens, Spank Rock & Chemical Brothers Sexuality ???
Title confuse you?
ake you say WTF?!?
Good, we're feeling the same then. Check these out and you might even be more confused.
Horny Teens
First up out of three headlines I first assumed to be fake is the song in this clip, entitle "Teen Horniness Is Not A Crime" as sung by Sarah Michelle Gellar...
So first up I called bullshit. Sarah Michelle Gellar. Singing about teen horniness! Come on, yeah sure she was Buffy, but she was also in Scooby Doo... 1 & 2! So I downloaded it anyway. Listened, and was surprissed to here what sounded legitimately sounded like SMG. So next step was google, which tunred up a movie (and soundtrack) directed by the director of one of my favourite fucking cult hits Donnie Darko. The movie's entitled Southland Tales, surprising thing is, it came out last year and I've never heard of it.
If you wanna check out SMG singing about the level of teenagers hormones and it's lack of criminalitiy, use the linkage below, if your tentative, make sure you check out the premise of the movie.
Sarah Michelle Gellar - Teen Horniness Is Not A Crime (YSI)
Sexuality
The next thing that got me confused was an announcement over at RA about a certain someone, whose Sexuality (the link's at the bottom of the page) was released to the world, entering the Eurovision Song Contest. WTF! I thought that thing was for kids? Australian comedians find it a great source material.
The video's below:
Here are two fine remixes of the track, ones been around for a while the other one is fresh of the press:
Sebastien Tellier - Divine (Midnight Juggernauts Remix) (YSI) (MF)
MySpaces Linkagers: N.F. // M.J. (dot com)
Spank Rock & Chemical Brothers
This one is my favourite of the three, the premise 'Chemical Brothers & Spank Rock', as soon as I saw that headline, BAM!, instantly thought would could be better then the two!
It took a while to grow on me. My imagination ran wild and I think I had some impossibly high expectations, that would have only been met through some sort of magical mash-up, as opposed to an official collaboration. Once I got into it, DAMN, it's good!
You can find it on the soundtrack to the also awesome television show Heroes.
Check it out.
The Chemical Brothers - Keep My Composure ft Spank Rock (YSI) (MF)

The Prodigy. What The Fuck Is Their Album Called???
Although, in my opinion, a buzz track, it's a good one at that. I don't think it's been logged in at the mega-database of the blogosphere that it the hype machine, but it's only time. It's a three minute instrumental that is meant to get you pumped about the new release that is due from the band this year, as early as May, it's been said. Although unlike what was said there, over here it was said that there is a name and artwork but it's being kept tightly under wraps. Anyway here's the track, is it on the album? is it a single? or is it a buzz track to get us all talking about The Prodigy's new album? And who the fuck is Eddy Cochran? Who cares right? It's a great track, DL it, then buy the album when it's out.
The Prodigy - Who The Fuk Is Eddy Cochran (ysi) (MediaFire)
BTW, I got some more posts coming your way soon...
Horny Teens / Spank Rock & Chemical Brothers / Van She / Sexuality
I was going to photo shop all of these wonderful people into one big happy snap, but I couldn't be fucked. Enjoy the wait.

Offended?, By The 60FT Lesbian Octopus? Why?
For you I have an expeience like no other, the 2 minute 'interval-like' track, that is crazier, heavier and all round, more spectacular than any interval-like track you've ever heard.
Enjoy, what is, the attack of the 60ft lesbian octopus!
Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Attack Of The 60FT Lesbian Octopus (YSI)
If you love the interval that much how good will the rest be! It's out on the 24th!!
As per usual, support the band, buy the album (it comes with a free EP!), check out their myspace here.

Kick & Scream Bitches
It will be as big, if not bigger, than any of their other tracks to date. Or that's my prediction anyway.
I got hold of it via STAIII and my new rss feed demon program that tells me when I should be in the know. It has also just told me that it's now on at least one other blog. Awesome. Check 'em out.
Oh, but before you do that, go and pre-order the album like I have told you oh so many times. And I'm thinking most of you listened because the Mod Shop says they are out of stock, so head over to JB. You'll be Kicking & Screaming if you miss out. Ahh. Had to be said. Here it is.
The Presets - Kicking & Screaming (YSI)
You can check out their other newby 'A New Sky' (which although I don't think has as much bangage potential, its still up their with all that is the quality of The Presets music) on either of the other blogs I linked to above.
Enjoy.

More Presets
There's a new video and track to be found from The Presets, with plenty of remixes to follow in the coming weeks.
The video is below, it seems to flow on from the video for My People, very dark and dingy, and also some other themes that seem so prevalent when looking at The Presets. It has lots of symbolism.
And the vid must only just be out, it only has 78 views on youtube, and was a world premier when it was shown on the j's apparently.
To catch the track, I'll send you over to WavesAtNight who I first glimpsed from. Cheers.

Chemical Beats
Check out My YouTube for videos from the Sydney Chemical Brothers show. I decided just to do some montages, so I didn't waste my dancing time just holding the camera still...They are uploadin now, they'll be up by morn.
Even though it's already 4am.
Here the results:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Freakin Awesome night, even the train home (and thats not sarcasm), thanks to the group next to us who sang, danced, pill popped, vandalised, screamed, water fight'd, relationship tif'd... was like a concert on a train. Maybe that could be a movie. 'Concert On A Train' - "We need to get this concert off this freaking train". Haha.
Flikcr Photo's Soon...
Galvanise.
Two People.
Clown. The creepiness of this clown will never be able to be judged by what it looks like in photos or videos.

Going Off!
Was just checking out what was up and coming in the little town of Wollongong and it seems to be going off at the moment.
In the next month all these acts will be in town:
2008.02.28
Fresh on their Cat & The Eye Tour (which starts tommorrow (21st) in Melbourne), Van She, accompanied by Ghostwood (formerly called something else, completely unrelated to wood)
are playing at the Wollongong Unibar on the day before the day that only occurs every once in a while. Should be good. Tickets.
2008.02.24
There's a weird Bicardi 'win your tickets' event, which funnily enough isn't the reason it's weird, but it's because it's on at midday. If that turned you off, this might turn you back on, the line-up in my re-arranged order is: Pnau, Bumblebeez, Bang Gang DJs, then Scribe and Faker
2008.03.06
THIS
UOWs legendary annual party is back in 2008 with a stellar line-up of Australian musical acts including: Gyroscope, The Cops, Grafton Primary, The Bustin’ Crew DJs, Ras Gong Guerrillas, & Reason Strikes. Tickets / info.
OR... on the same night is also:
THIS
Datarock supported by Mission Control
From moshtix:
"Norwegian disco popsters Datarock, a.k.a. Fredrik Saroea and Ketil Mosnes... with their questionable leisurewear and propensity for writing songs about robot sex and the possibility of women having man parts, you could consider them as the new rave equivalent to Goldie Lookin Chain. Musically, though, they’re completely different, favouring an impossibly nagging car crash of the most basic electro-pop and addictive Parliament-style funk, all done with a Talking Heads sense of style that’s both noxious and compulsive... Catchy lyrics, taken from 80s pop-culture films has Datarock fast turning into pop music’s most aggressive sect since The Polyphonic Spree."
A collection of artists set to perform under the banner of 'Union of Soul' at the Wollongong Botanic Gardens (subject to venue approval, although it pretty much has to happen now doesn't it?, now that they've told everyone, how pissed of would poeple get at those who deny permission). Althought I'd be going for Gotye and staying for... Gotye, the other acts (John Butler Trio, Clare Bowditch & The Feeding Set and Lior) would be alright if your in the right mood. Tickets.
