WTF! Hype Over Hype Hack!

I don't know what the fuck just happened but the count, whilst waiting for The New Hype Machine, to reach 10,000 suddenly catapults to billions! Or at leats 812 Million at last count.

I reckon some hackers got tired of waiting, either that or Hype decided to make it look that way so it didn't seem like they were cop'n out of their seemingly overambitious 10,000 viewers.

My first finding is from the guys who are gracing Australia's shores one the first day of next year for Field Day, which I'm missing so they better do a side show, Spank Rock remixed by Best Fwends. My best description of this track would by confusingly addictive.

Just Listen.
Heres the Track:

Spank Rock - Bump (Best Fwends Remix)

From Here, Who Themselves got it from Here who...

UPDATE:

Hype just admitted they did it themselves, for us. How sweet.

Oh yeah, so the crazy number was there so that everyone's browser would receive the instruction to refresh to the new Hype Machine site as it launched.

When we had 3800 people, we couldn't make it be 10,000, so I figured to give a huge number to everyone so that they'd know we aren't cheating, after all wtf is 924342226? :)

Once all the browsers received that number, they reloaded to witness the new Hype Machine, which rocked.

@ Anthony V:
It was great to be there to see it unveiled. Being one of 3800 people on Earth, then out of them, one of the ones looking as it happened, not just with the tab open.
Refreshing. Your doing great stuff to promote music.

Cheers.
